River Street Pub grand opening Friday 1/22

The following is from a news release on the pub's grand opening on Jan. 22:

"Vincenzo Pellicano grew up in Buffalo and like many in their college years relished in the nightlife, atmosphere and the fun a downtown strip offered. He recalls meeting friends to dance, party, listen to live music and just have fun.

The 36-year-old recalls the days of gearing up for a Thursday night out to begin the weekend party. Many years later, although he still enjoys the fond memories, the juvenile behaviors have worn off, but the desire for age-appropriate fun is still alive and well.

This Friday, January 22nd around 8 p.m., he gets to relive his dream of those carefree nights in Buffalo. On Friday night, he gets to live the dream - the dream of owning his own Pub.

Located at the corner of River and State streets, Pellicano feels the location
is ideal.

'The City of Troy is just set up so perfectly for a place like ours,' said Pellicano. 'Troy is a nightlife destination, and the fact that this particular location has proven successful before, gives me a solid feeling that it will soon be again.'

The location has a rich history with the likes of 'Petars', 'Club 2001' and 'All Sports Pub,' all located at the 194 River street location over the past 30 years.

The doors open at 8:00pm and will start with some free munchies and drink
specials followed by live entertainment at 10 p.m. from the rock band "343".

'I've worked so hard on making this place new, comfortable and fun for anyone,' said Pellicano. 'It doesn't matter if you're a 20-something, 30-something or 50-something, my goal is to make sure that, when you come here, it's fun!'

Pellicano's River Street Pub will feature pub food, live music and the promise of a good time!"
