Campana: BID hearing canceled

The public hearing for a proposed downtown Business Improvement District, which was scheduled for Thursday night, has been canceled, according to City Council President Clem Campana.

Campana said Tuesday that a new date would have to be set for the hearing because the council did not vote on a resolution during a regular or special meeting to establish the formal meeting time.

The start of the hearing would have begun a 30-day public comment period where members of the proposed district can submit their official objections to its creation to the City Clerk. The district cannot be created if 51 percent of its prospective members vote against it, but a failure to vote will actually count as a vote in favor of the BID.

Clem, stand up for yourself. You get led around by everyone. It's either Matiniano, or Loporto. Stop the games and let the voices of downtown be heard.

All this incompetence! The voters should get rid of you all. Tutunjian, Crawley, Campana, Brown, all of you are incompetent and ignorant. Thank God for the private sector. Politicians are worthless!

Clem, you are the leader of the council, act like it. Right now you look like a fool. The council didn't pass the resolution because you didn't do it,didn't want it, or just don't care. Don't act like a victim. When Loporto stops giving you free food and pasta what will you do?

Does Loporto know that you are going to support extending the contract for the Park Pub, you know the restaurant he wanted and you promised to get him. Thats it no pasta for you

The Troy Record BLOWS. Any legitimate news agency that allows people to anonymously post this malicious crap and libelous and defamatory statements should be put out of business. The editors and publishers should be ashamed of themselves. Not many will shed a tear when your ink runs out and you can't afford to buy newsprint. Perhaps you will become an internet only paper. How proud you must feel when you read all the intelligent crap you allow to be distributed around the world.

LaPosta and Wade told Clem to cancel the meeting and as you know,Clem does what he's told to do even though the taxpayers suffer. This is truly the "council in chaos."

Jeff Buell, that is no way to speak of "The Record", your prior employer. Free speach Jeff! Oh, thats right, you, Tut & Crawley don't believe in that. Keep working hard so your little girly friend will have a job! Lord knows no one else will employ her, or you!

Private sector...they did a great job with the economy huh? Keith, get off the blogs you troll. You aren't going to brainwash people into this campaign slogan of a private sector guy to come in and save the day. We know how you flip and flopped back in the day on term limits. You are just another hack.

Deputy Dawg...you have worked your entire adult life in government sector jobs! You have no education and no mgt. skill set. You would never make it in the private sector...well maybe working the grill at Denny's! We will see in only 33 months.

The lack of leadership on this council is mind blowing. I voted for Clem and am now feeling like I wasted my vote. Same thing with that Brown, who seems to be a bit sneaky if you ask me. Neither one of them have done one damn thing that they said they would. I don't really care for the administration, other than a few people down there, but they did seem to have the city on the right track before 2008. Since Clem took over, it's been nothing but confusion. Being tied in with that LoPorto clown, is not very bright either.
Like I said, the lack of leadership is frightening.

What are you going to try and denounce Keith Rogers for having an RPI education and spending his entire career in the private sector now. See in the private sector you are held accountable and responsible unlike in the public sector. It makes no difference who you know it all comes down to results and the bottom line unlike the public sector where many of you losers lay your heads and take cheap shots at an educated professional like Keith. Many of you will soon find out the difference.
